eGexa began as a hobby of a high school student Mido in 2005, a small dream which is about to be real. The start was by free small websites hosted by free hosting services like freewebtown. eGweb was the first name of the sites created by Mido which standed for about 2 years untill the end of 2007 when the name eGexa was the new project. eGexa is a word of 2 parts, 1st part is "eG" which is an abbreviation for Egypt, 2nd part is "exa" which means Billion Billion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000) which indicates the it's an extra huge network websites content.

On 18 Feb, 2008 the domain eGexa.com was first registered and started to be online as the first paid service of eGexa. On this day eGexa was really born and came to the internet world.

The first service launched was Music, a website for Music and Songs specially arabic music, Afterthat many ideas and services were added to eGexa to make the "eGexa Websites Network" contains many and various services and websites.

Since 2008, eGexa Websites Network is getting more popular visitors, more services available to satisfy all needs and approach cultures. Everyday we reach to many new visitors worldwide who love to use eGexa Sites.

Untill now eGexa Sites are fully created and managed only by Mido who is the only admin and manager of all eGexa Services, also eGexa is not yet a trademark or registered company.
